In this section you can find the general information required for your work. You can also find the rules that you must follow.
Gather Required Information
1. Find the nearest shipping locations:
You will need to find the nearest FedEx, UPS, and USPS offices to know where you will be sending your package from, build optimal routes to those locations, and know how long it will take.
- Locate the nearest USPS, FedEx Ground and UPS Ground offices in your location.
- Make a note of the hours of the offices so you can ship on time.
- If using automated parcel lockers, ensure they are checked daily.
2. Determine transportation:
Plan how you will get to the shipping locations. If you don’t have a car, find the fastest and most convenient public transport options.
3. Printing labels:
Identify where you will print shipping labels if you don’t have a printer. Pharmacies and libraries usually offer printing services.
Time to complete tasks
- Incoming packages must be received on the first delivery attempt. It’s not acceptable to miss a package delivery without a justifiable reason.
- Packages must be inspected and prepared for shipment. Also, the report must be made within 12 hours after the package receipt.
- Packages must be shipped within 24 hours of receiving the prepaid shipping label.
Timely notification rules
You must immediately text or call your supervisor about the following problems:
- If you missed your package delivery.
- If you have a problem receiving a package.
- If you are moving and need to change your address.
- If you can’t get a package out on time.
Probationary Period
- During your first working month, you will be on a probationary period. Most benefits start after this period. Bonuses include those for package pick-up, client purchases, and personal bonuses from your supervisor.
- During probation, you’ll get to know your job, so the number of packages may be lower. It takes time to get into the workflow, so packages will arrive with a slight delay.
- We will conduct two surveys during probation. The first, after initial training, ensures you understand the instructions. The second, at the end, identifies any issues to correct.
Basic Principles
The main advantage of our company is the speed and quality of order processing. You can choose the time of your work, but you have to keep the maximum time for completion. The faster you work, the more bonuses you get.
Problem solving principle
First of all, you have to learn on the job. To become a successful employee (or person in general), you should continuously improve yourself. It’s not a problem if you make mistakes; everyone makes them. The most important thing is to correct them. Understand how to fix them and make notes for the future. If you do that, then you are on the right path. Turn all problems you face into tasks.
Example:
Problem: “There is a problem with the inspection of a package, and you don’t know how to make a report.”
Let’s turn the problem into a step-by-step solution:
- Read the instructions on package inspection.
- Slowly go through the process, ensuring accuracy.
- If something is unclear, ask your supervisor.
- Repeat the process incrementally for the next task.
This approach will help turn problems into manageable tasks.
Ensuring accuracy and care
- Careful handling of goods ensures efficient work. Move boxes carefully; don’t throw them or place heavy items on top, as this can cause damage.
- Economy means reusing packing materials. Don’t throw away items like bubble wrap from previous shipments.
- Keep the materials for future use. You might have something fragile in the next package that can be protected with the leftover bubble wrap.
Loss of or damage to packages.
- Remember to be careful with the delivery and location of packages. Packages can be stolen from your door or outside your home.
- Make sure you have a door tag for the courier to leave packages that don’t require a signature when you’re not home. This location must be secure.
- If you live in an apartment building, ensure the package is out of public view. Your neighbors might be trustworthy, but their visitors might not be. Place packages in a safe spot where they won’t get lost, broken, or squashed.
- For example, if you store packages in your car trunk, secure heavy items or spare tires that could roll and damage them.
Above all, new products must remain new for our customers – this is a fundamental principle of our service.
